Having helped organise various hen parties, corporate days and other events, it became apparent to us that the hen party and other event organisers were struggling to find activities, catering and transport for their corporate dayscand stag parties online.
This is because big Hen and Stag Party agencies and other big event sites fill the first pages of google and one-man bands find it difficult to be found and advertise their event business online. The big agencies and many sites charge the providers big fees, and as a result, they have to increase their prices. Some providers don't find viable to run their business at all because of the fees that sites and agencies charge.
We have met and found so many talented, reliable and all-round brilliant event business' in our years in the industry and we think you should be able to find them too!
We essentially act as a platform where you, the event organiser, can find the providers - that's it. We don't get involved in the booking process etc. We understand that as the event organiser, you want to make sure that you are booking with a reliable provider. Please read below what to keep in mind when booking. We at activities.direct approve all listings before they go live and will do our utmost best to keep the sites reputation in tact and have only brilliant event business' on the site!
KEEP IN MIND
Activities.direct do not act as a booking platform, but the providers will organise the booking directly with you in line with their payment terms. We require all our event providers to have a web-address so that an online presence can be established before they can list.

Web-site and other references Does the provider have their own professional web-site with a their details / company number and enough information about their business? We know some smaller operators, or people who are just starting out, may not have their own site, but you could look at google reviews, Facebook business page or social media platforms for example. This way you can establish more about them, and see if they have previous reviews from their service.
Payments Some operators may ask for a deposit to confirm the booking. This is completely normal! We would always advice to make the payment by credit card rather than bank transfer to give you more protection. Even the smallest catering companies and other event business' can nowadays obtain a card facility via platforms such as PayPal or Stripe.
Terms and conditions It's important that you read the terms and conditions you receive from the service provider. This will detail out their obligations to you and any cancellation terms. If there's something that worries you in the terms, you can always ask the event provider.
Report and get in touch If you think that a listing is suspicious, or you have an issue with a particular provdider, please don't hesitate to get in touch immediately. We want the sites reputation to remain excellent and we take all reported issues seriously.
